Chahkoh is a geotourist attraction consisting of sedimentary rocks created by climate change. Accessing the Chahkoh Valley is a bit difficult for two reasons; One is that it is about 70 km away from the city center, and the second reason is its access route, which requires a bit of walking. Namakdan Cave

One of the most beautiful places to visit in Qeshm is the Namakdan Salt Cave, which is known as one of the largest salt caves in the world. Salt Valley

In the south of Namakdan Cave, there is another interesting place in Qeshm called Dere Shoor. The natives of the region know this valley as “Tengeh Makineh” or “Hobad” and thanks to its special nature, it is known as one of the geosites of Qeshm Geopark. The width of this gorge is 12 km and one of its special features is the eerie sound that can be heard when the wind passes through its walls. Sulfur springs are another attraction of the Salt Valley. If you have read the article about the castles of southern Iran, you know the results of the historical war between Iran and Portugal. Now after centuries, you can see remnants of that era in Qeshm. However, compared to other Portuguese castles in the south of Iran, the Portuguese castle of Qeshm has been less cared for and most of its structures are being destroyed; But still, it is worth visiting because of its important history. It is possible to visit the Portuguese castle every day and at any hour of the day.

Hengam Island

Hengam Island

Hengam is a small island in the south of Qeshm and is located in Qeshm. Tourists can go to Kendalo Wharf next to Qeshmgardi and from there take a boat to Hengam Island. There are two well-known attractions in Hengama Island, which are: the silver beach and the playful dolphins around the island. On the silver beach of Hengam, due to the presence of special minerals, you can see silver sands that have a unique shine. Of course, the silver beach can only be seen in a part of the island, and due to the preservation of this natural attraction, it is only possible to view it from afar.

Another sight to see in Qeshm are the dolphins that swim around the island from autumn to the second half of spring; Therefore, if you travel to Qeshm this season, you can see dolphins; Provided that you go early in the morning when it is not crowded to see the dolphins. Of course, watching dolphins on Hengam Island depends to a large extent on luck; Because several factors such as air temperature, the amount of sea waves and even noise have a direct effect on the presence of dolphins. In any case, if you want to see these lovely aquatic animals, first ask your tour leader about the chance of visiting them, and then board the boats on the island through the steep jetty.

Tel Av wells

Tel Av wells

As we said, these wells are located in Laft village. Tal Av wells, also known as “Tala” and “Tlav”, are one of the smartest inventions of Iranians to obtain fresh water in the region. Since it was not possible to obtain fresh water by digging a well in this area, they built wells to store rainwater, which were filled with fresh rainwater during the rainy season and used throughout the year.

According to some, the construction of Tel Av wells dates back to the Achaemenid period, and today only about 100 wells remain out of about 400 reservoirs in Bandar Laft. It may be interesting to know that not only the construction of wells followed certain patterns, but people also had special customs to use them.

Naz islands

Naz islands

In the southeast of Qeshm, there are two exceptional islands called Naz Islands, which are a must for every tourist. Just as a dreamlike scene is created in the mangrove forest at high tide, Naz islands also take on a different look every 6 hours. At high tide, these islands are connected to Qeshm Island and you can walk along this path and enjoy the surrounding scenery. When the tide is high, these two islands are so far away from Qeshm Island that no one can think that they are connected.
